View ProjectMousavi Home
Mousavi Home is a modern residential interior design project in Vancouver, Canada, completed in 2017 for Mr. Mousavi. The design turns a two-storey home into one bright, open-plan space where the kitchen, dining area and living room flow together, with a feature staircase as the central sculptural element. The staircase is the heart of the home: a white floating stair with light timber treads and a clear glass balustrade rises against a wall clad in rich walnut-toned planks, with the TV and a built-in white bookcase tucked beneath. Soft recessed lighting and a clear-glass chandelier add a gentle glow, and a geometric, laser-cut style wall panel in white brings a decorative pattern to the living area. In the kitchen, white cabinetry and a marble-look splashback sit beside light timber units and a dark, white-veined marble island with slim white stools. In the dining area, a black marble-look table is paired with taupe upholstered chairs, wood legs and black wire pendant lights, set against padded white wall panelling and soft grey curtains, with a triptych of framed line-art prints as the focal point. Large pale floor tiles keep the whole interior light and calm.
