View ProjectMr. Rafiei Home
Mr. Rafiei Home is a luxury residential interior design project in Toronto, Canada, completed in 2020 for Mr. Safaei. The design brings a classic, elegant character to a large open-plan home, linking the living room, dining area and kitchen in one bright, flowing space and adding two bedrooms with their own distinct moods. In the living area, curvy sofas and armchairs in deep plum velvet with gilded frames sit on a richly patterned rug, beside a white carved console and a TV wall backed with warm, glowing onyx-style stone. Burgundy curtains and sheer white drapes frame the windows, crystal chandeliers hang from ceilings edged with soft cove lighting, and white wall panelling with fine mouldings adds a refined classical backdrop. Abstract artworks in gold and grey add a contemporary note. The dining area features a long white table with plum and gold chairs and a mirrored feature wall in a diagonal pattern, which reflects light deep into the room. The kitchen is built around a large island with a veined stone worktop, with light timber cabinetry with classic raised panels and gold handles, a veined stone splashback and a statement extractor hood. In the bedrooms, one is dressed in warm gold and beige with a framed painting and burgundy bedding, while the other uses grey-green walls with white panelling and fitted wardrobes. Polished light floor tiles and Persian-style rugs tie every room together.
