Charisma Space is an architecture and 3D visualization studio in Coquitlam, BC. We produce architectural animations that take viewers through a design before it is built: through the rooms, around the building and over the site. With over 24 years of experience and 200+ completed projects, we work with architects, developers, designers and builders across Canada and the US.

An animation shows what a still image cannot: how spaces connect, how the light moves and how the building sits in its surroundings.

From a draft to an animation.

Follow one open-plan kitchen from a bare 3D model to a finished film. Pick a step or let it play.

Draft

We start with the bare 3D model of the space, where every object is built as real geometry: beams, pendant lights, cabinetry, tile pattern and furniture. Layout, proportions and camera angle are agreed here.

Choosing the Right Type of Animation

  • Walkthrough vs. aerial. A walkthrough moves through the building at eye level. An aerial animation shows the project from above in its surroundings.
  • Sun study. A sun study shows how light and shadow move across the building through the day.
  • Promotional film. A promotional animation combines views of the project into a short film for marketing.
  • Animation vs. interactive. An animation is a fixed film that looks its best. An interactive experience lets viewers explore the project themselves in real time.

Three rounds of revisions are included. We deliver in the format you need and sign an NDA on request.

You send drawings, models and references. We agree the story, the camera routes and the length.

Camera paths and draft

We set the camera routes and share a first draft for your feedback.

Materials, lighting and rendering

We finish the materials, lighting and context, then render the animation.

Editing and delivery

We edit the video and deliver the final file in the format you need.

What types of animation do you make?

What do you need from me to start?

Drawings or a 3D model, and any references for the style and the route you want the camera to take.

Which software do you use?

3ds Max, Lumion, Twinmotion and Unreal Engine, with After Effects for editing and finishing.

How much does an architectural animation cost, and how long does it take?

It depends on the length, the amount of detail and the complexity of the project. Send us your files and goals, and we will reply with a quote.

Do you work with clients outside Vancouver?

Yes. We are based in Coquitlam, BC, and work with architects, designers and developers across Canada and the US.
